Our Services
What We Do?
- We provide regulatory guidance and arrange documentations.
- We provide financial coverage like IRLC and bank guarantees on the purchase of coal.
- We manage timely freight payments and co-ordinate submissions of rake allotment program to railways.
- We ensure meticulous sampling and analysis of the coal supply at the loading and unloading point.
- We provide consultation services like suggesting suitable combustion techniques and optimizing fuel efficiency as per boiler parameters.
- We also advise on coal mixtures to maximize the fuels calorific value.
Indian Coal
Of the four types of coal – lignite, sub-bituminous, bituminous and anthracite; Indian coal is largely sub bituminous. Lignite reserves occur in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India also has bituminous reserves. The varying quantity of moisture, ash, volatile matter and fixed carbon determine the quality of coal. While energy content and sulphur content determine its use and its price. Hard coal deposits are spread across eastern and south central areas of the country. The country is self-sufficient in terms of coking, non-coking and tertiary coal reserves. We collaborate with major coal producing States across India: (Gondwana Coalfields) Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal; (Tertiary Coalfields) Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland.
Imported Coal
Though India is one of the largest producers of coal in the world, the local demand for coal is much higher than its supply. Our liaisons with major coal producing countries have enabled us to ease this disparity. Imported coal has less ash content, while Indian non-coking coal is high on ash deposition. Imports of non-coking coal are sometimes blended with our domestic supply, to increase the fuel calorific value. An increased calorific value means more energy with less coal. Besides, the need of the hour is cost-effective clean coal technology, available overseas. Clean coal technology guarantees a significant decrease in harmful emissions during energy production.
